Rainer Wilton
Rainer Wilton is the principal consultant of the Barrack St Compliance Co.
Rainer is a past member of the NSW Vocational Education and Training Accreditation Board's External Auditor Panel and TVET Australia's National Audit and Registration Agency's Auditor and Quality Consultant panels.
Rainer holds a range of qualifications including a Bachelor of Science (Major - Human Resource Management), Master of Business (Majors in Organisational Development and Entrepreneurship), an ISO 9000:2000 series auditor / lead auditor certification, and the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Rainer started his career in Sport and Recreation in 1998 with the Australian Sports Drug Agency, before moving to Sports Medicine Australia to act as the National Conference Manager and NSW Education Manager.
In 2005 Rainer began his employment with Service Skills Australia, managing the NSW Sport and Recreation Industry Training Advisory Service until 2010. During this time he advised the members of the NSW sport and recreation industry on skill development initiatives and assisted them to implement the Vocational Education and Training system.
Rainer was also required to advise the NSW Department of Education and Training on a range of issues relating to Sport and Recreation, including industry skill development and research, traineeship arrangements, VET in Schools, and the development, review, and implementation of Training Packages in NSW.
In December 2007 Rainer was appointed Service Skills Australia's Business Development Manager, and was assigned the responsibility of managing the projects the Skills Council undertook outside of its core funding agreement with the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. Examples of the projects Rainer obtained funding for and managed included Industry Training Strategies Program Pathfinders projects, Workplace English Language and Literacy projects and other projects which supported the implementation of Service Skills Australia's training packages.
